A great day for both U8 teams playing in a festival at Embley. Both Durlston teams won 5 matches each and only suffered one defeat. Both teams ended tied for top spot with goal difference having to decide who was 1st. Team 1 ended with a +10 goal difference to Team 2s +8.

A lovely dry afternoon for the Hockey Festival at Embley School. It was 5-a-side matches, with 2 rolling substitutes and 6 x 10-minute games.
This was an absolutely brilliant afternoon of Hockey, from both the Durlston A and B Teams.
Player of the Match as voted for by me, this is a tricky one as so many could have got it, I will go for a double Bryce Worsley and Abel Marsh.
Team Captain for this afternoons matches was Bryce Worsley.
The overall winners of the Hockey Festival were Durlston Team 1, coming second Durlston Team 2, who only narrowly missed out because of lesser goal difference.
As always, a big thank you to all the U-8/9 parents who came and supported us, it is very much appreciated. I know the ones I spoke during the festival, all very much enjoyed watching it.
