Durlston V The Park School - Lost 0-1

A good game and the score didn’t really reflect the play as it was very even. Great goal keeping from C.Collinson in the first half and an excellent performance on the pitch from I.Bollard. This was our first game and so positionally we were finding out what worked and the girls were great at playing different positions when asked.
A great second half on the left wing for H.Bates who used the width to drive forward and pass into space to the attacking midfielder and also showed great defensive skills when possession switched. The girls are learning to work together to make the right decisions to either pass balls or drive them forward to create opportunities to score.

A good start to the second game with an early ball down the wing, driven into the box and scored by L.Bazeliuk. Good mid field defensive play from A.Gillard who tackled well and made good leading runs.
P. Aldridge made some good tackles mid field and S.Pegram made herself available for passes and movement into the attack. C.White was in defence and on the wing today and was working on her skills and linking and connecting passes.
Defence needs to get to the ball quicker and be stronger to win challenges to make sure we clear or run the ball out of danger area quicker.
Some good saves by I.Bollard who wanted to play in goal in the first half but BCS managed to score in the second.
The girls played well today as we tried different positions to find our strengths and were keen to learn and understand the tactics needed to win games. Well done!
